Concluding with a March for Success at 7:45 p.m.

Attendance: 22 (+ 2 officers & 3 guests)- quorum achieved

Law Enforcement Report:

  • City- Officer McIntyre- 413-8318; Capt. Young (401-8811o; 422-1265c) Non-Emergency: 252-2911; Ofc. McIntyre responded to neighbor concern about clean-up of recent police incident; CRT team has been added to our area; staffed at 69 as opposed to the recommended 75.
  • Neighbor Reports- neighbor illegally operating garage on 5300 block of Middleton (should call 311 to report to code enforcement)

Legislative Update: Sen. Scott reported: legislature passed a bill to increase court fees; $1.6b in hole; passed $.50 tobacco tax ($136m); encouraged residents to go back to the polls on Tues., April 20th; sent $ to finish North Main project; Jamie Chad present to introduce himself as a candidate for solicitor- election June 8th.

It’s that time again! Current membership dues are paid through March 31, 2010.  You will be able to pay your dues through March 31, 2011 at any community council meeting or by mailing your payment to: College Place Community Council, P.O. Box 30474, Columbia, SC 29203.

$12 for individuals    ***    $20 for all adult members of a family
Dues must be current in order to vote in the April elections.
